For the second straight month there are no changes for EB-5 for the December Visa Bulletin issued by the Department of State.
All three of the EB-5 set aside categories – high unemployment, rural and infrastructure – remain current for all countries. Additionally, the unreserved category remains for all countries except Mainland China and India.
Chart A of the Bulletin indicates that for the second straight month the final action dates for Mainland China and India for the unreserved category remain unchanged. For China, the final action date remains July 15, 2016, and for India the date remains January 1, 2022.
For Chart B, which reflects the dates for filing visa applications for the unreserved category, that China remains October 1, 2016, and India stays at April 1, 2022.
“I know we sound like a broken record, but for those considering EB-5 the time is a good time to really consider moving forward,” Green Card Fund CEO and Co-Founder Kyle Walker said. “This is particularly true for those already in the U.S. that are looking to take advantage of concurrent filing. Concurrent filing is only an option if a visa number is available and right now there is no issue with availability.”
