The New York City Charter School Center is an independent, not-for-profit organization, established in 2004 with generous support from The Robertson Foundation, the Robin Hood Foundation, The Pumpkin Foundation and The Clark Foundation. The Charter Center helps new charter schools get started, supports existing schools,  builds community support, and trains new leaders so that highly effective public charter schools can flourish.
